Who Benefits from the Circle City Yard Sale?
As indicated in the Event Overview, the Circle City Sale is structured to benefit the entire Indianapolis Community; however, fundraising proceeds for the overall event will be given to two primary beneficiaries: Teachers' Treasures (90%) and the Rotaract Club of IUPUI (10%).
Teachers' Treasures
Teachers' Treasures is a not-for-profit organization that collects donated school supplies and other items and provides them to classroom teachers at no charge. Teachers' Treasures distributes these supplies to teachers in more than 200 eligible public, parochial, and private schools in Marion County.
The average classroom teacher spends $500 to $1000 a year out of his or her own pocket to buy supplies for their students. The free materials from Teachers' Treasures provide kids with needed supplies as well as help reduce teachers' personal expenditures.

Rotaract Club of IUPUI
Rotaract is an international organization that focuses on community service, leadership and professional development, and international understanding. With ties to business leaders in Indianapolis and all over the world, the Rotaract Club of IUPUI is a great way to serve your community, network with service-minded individuals, and meet influential people in your community.
Although less than two years old, the IUPUI chapter has accomplished a lot. This student organization has raised more than $1000 for UNICEF and the American Cancer Society, sponsored a family at Christmas, hosted a speaker from the US State Department, volunteered for several events, and created an IUPUI speaker series that features local Indianapolis entrepreneurs, panel discussions on international issues, and presentations on other topics relevant to our mission. The Rotaract Club will also be sending five delegates to the International Rotary Convention in Los Angeles this summer.
